Sutton Manor was built for the pit. The first houses on Tennyson Street and Jubits Lane went up as two-up two-downs with no bathroom and no electricity at all. The wiring has been added to ever since. That is why so much of the work here is rewires and fuse box upgrades rather than small jobs.
The Delamere and Epping Avenue houses from around 1970 are a different story, usually a board swap, extra sockets or a set of downlights. Whichever yours is, you get a fixed price before anything starts.
