Fault finding questions, answered

How much does fault finding cost?

Describe the fault on the phone and we will give you an honest idea, then confirm the price before we start.

Why does my fuse box keep tripping?

Usually a faulty appliance, a damaged cable or water in an outside socket or light. We test circuit by circuit to find which one rather than guessing. That switch tripping is the safety device doing its job.

Half my sockets have stopped working. Is that serious?

It is normally a broken connection on one circuit and very fixable. Loose connections make heat though, so do not leave it. We can usually trace and repair it in one visit.

How quickly can you get to me?

We answer the phone 24 hours a day, keep space in the diary for faults and put anything that sounds dangerous first. Call and you will get an honest arrival time, not a vague window.
